SEXUAL ASSAULT is a major problem in Northern Uganda.
So many girls and young women are victims, and so many with terrible emotional consequences.
Christine’s house
A partnership with Freedom424, Christine’s House provides rescue, counseling, and training to give women who have experienced sexual trauma a chance to overcome the hurt, become mothers and have a chance at life. They also work with families to break down stigmas and help them welcome the girls back home.
Sports Outreach Polytechnic School
This new residential program provides vocational and entrepreneurial training for single mothers who have missed their opportunity for formal education. Many of the young ladies are graduates of the Christine’s House program.
Nicki’s Village
Nicki’s Village is residential, supportive community for vocational students. As they live and study together, they develop strong, encouraging bonds that are a key benefit of the overall school experience.
