Relationship Building in Charlotte

Recently, coaches Jessie and Jala were blessed to have helpers to renew the outside of their West Charlotte house that serves also as a ministry center. Several members of Elevation Church came out to help as part of the Church’s Love Week. Working together with Southern Shade, the group fixed up the yard of the house with a fire pit, and a great open-air seating area. It will be a wonderful place to do a bunch of off-the field things - Bible studies, cookouts, after-school tutoring and the like.

Jessie and Jala also invited various families from the neighborhood to help. As this picture shows, a good time was had by all! One family has been very committed to the work of the Lord with their children and they shined their light upon Jessie and Jala by coming out to help.

Although covid has been suppressing their opportunities at formal sports ministry, having faithful families such as this one allows them to dig deep into discipleship.  Please keep Jala and Jessie in your prayers.
