Isaiah - Amazing Family Transformation Through Chess

Isaiah grew up in the notorious Mukuru slum in Nairobi. He began participating in the chess program at Sports Outreach Programme Kenya when it started in 2015 and he was only ten years old. While chess drew him to Sports Outreach, he came to know Christ as his Savior in 2016. He is very good at chess, and he now coaches younger players. His skills caught the eye of a Grand Master in Sweden! Isaiah and he have played and corresponded for a couple of years. When the Covid outbreak started, this gentleman wanted to help Isaiah and his family have some measure of protection. He provided the resources for the entire family to move away from the slum and into a two-bedroom home.
