Japheth - Mentorship Changes Lives.
Japheth is 18 years old, from a terrible slum in Nairobi. The staff of Sports Outreach Programme Kenya have shown him the Gospel in so many ways, and his life has changed dramatically…
“I am from a family of 7, my grandma, my mum and my 4 brothers. I joined Swift boys - a Sports Outreach Ministry project when I was 11 years of age. Before I joined Swift boys I was associating myself with bad company at Kwa Njenga Slums grounds and was almost falling for drugs and substance abuse. Through the discipleship my coaches helped me learn how to read and share the word of God. I came to the Lord in 2017 because of the seeds planted by my coaches. Thank you my coaches David and Daniel for soccer and life coaching, and also supporting me with transport to school. I want to thank Sports Outreach for supporting me with boots and other training kits which helped me improve my talent helping me avoid bad company.
“I now assist coaching younger boys in U-10. My family still struggles. We depend on a single and jobless mum to sustain us ... Thanks to Coach David who financially supported me to open a Bhajia (fried street snack) business. My dream is to join college and further my studies one day.”
