Martin Kioko - Education Leads to Serving God and Country

If you have been receiving these monthly updates for a while, you have probably noticed that we have been rotating countries where Sports Outreach facilitates an education program. This month we introduce Martin Kioko, a student who is pursuing an engineering degree as he serves his nation of Kenya. Without the educational assistance from Sports Outreach, it is very doubtful that he would be where he is today. Below Martin shares his story and gratitude to Sports Outreach. We want to express our gratitude for you as well, for your faithful gifts and prayers, are creating opportunities for children in challenging environments to receive an education.

“My name is Martin Kioko. I am a beneficiary of the Sports Outreach education program. I joined Sports Outreach Academy in 2011.The academy offered free education and meals for children from vulnerable families, courtesy of Sports Outreach Institute. In addition, they paid for my high school education.

I transitioned to AA Driving School after high school where I trained as a driver. Currently I am in the National Youth Service pursuing a diploma in electrical and electronic engineering (instrumentation and control option) I have already undergone vigorous paramilitary training for nine months, national building for a whole year, and this is now the vocational training, which is the last stage of my service to the nation.

To me, the Sports Outreach ministry was a God sent destiny connector. Indeed, it is with great honor that I am a living testimony of God’s divine connection with me. I am very much humbled for the strong spiritual foundation that the ministry helped me to lay. Thank you for transforming my life. God bless you all.”
